OCCUPIED STAGE is a three-day performance art festival reclaiming the stage as a space of evidence, defiance, & collective truth-telling. Against propaganda, censorship, & the weaponization of memory, we assert performance as counter-performance.
We reject neutrality. We demand accountability in the present tense.

“تكرار الكذبة لن يجعلها حقيقة”
“المسرح المُحتل” هو مهرجان فنون أدائية يمتدّ لثلاثة أيام، يُعيد فيه الفنانون استخدام المنصة كمساحة للتعبير عن الحقيقة والمقاومة والتضامن بصوتٍ جماعي. نؤكد على فن الأداء كأداء مضاد في مواجهة الدعاية والرقابة وتوظيف الذاكرة كسلاح.
نرفض الحياد. ونُطالب بالمحاسبة في زمن الحاضر.
📣 We’re Looking For
Artists working across all forms of performance (live art, music, sound, theatre, dance, participatory acts, workshops, ritual-based performances, street interventions, among others). Priority will be given to migrants/diasporic background artists, particularly those who arrived after 2015. We're looking for proposals that engage with the festival’s themes of resistance, censorship, & solidarity.
📣 نبحث عن
فنانين يعملن في مختلف أشكال الفنون الأدائية (الفن الحي، الموسيقى، الصوت، المسرح، الرقص، الأعمال التشاركية، الورش، الأداءات الطقسية، التدخلات في الفضاء العام، وغيرها). الأولوية للفنانين/ات من خلفيات مهاجرة، خصوصاً الذين وصلوا إلى برلين بعد عام ٢٠١٥. نبحث عن مقترحات تتفاعل مع موضوع المهرجان: المقاومة، الرقابة، والتضامن.
